10 <br />vii. Mine Drainage - <br />Both underground mine drainage and disturbed area surface runoff aze occurring at the <br />South Mine area. These mine drainage sources currently report to treatment ponds and <br />systems. If left unmaintained, these treatment systems may breach, resulting in untreated <br />mine drainage reaching offsite areas, including the Colorado River. <br />IV. Summary <br />The Powderhorn Coal Company, Roadside Mine exhibits numerous hazards to the people and <br />environment of Colorado. These hazards will remain unabated if reclamation does not occur. <br />V.
