  III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
4 999
FLATIRON
SAND AND GRAVEL COMPANY
POST OFFICE BOX 229, BOULDER, COLORADO 80306 • PHONE : (303) 444-2151
April 15, 1982
Mr. Chips Barry, Deputy Director
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St.
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Chips :
Enclosed is the correspondence between Flatiron and the MLR
staff about our proposed Deepe Farm Pit east of Boulder.
As there may be some controversy about the pit application,
I wanted you to have this information about it. You will
note that through its permitting process the county determined
both mining and reclamation procedures and possibilities .
Although county commissioners approval was granted in early
January, the recent MLRB ruling made it necessary that the pit
be re-permitted by the county to comply with its new zoning
regulations passed in early February. That process should be
complete before the April board meeting.
Thank you very much for taking time to read the enclosures.
Sincerely ,
(Mrs . )✓ Margaret Winter
APR 191982
(
D'uA,tl„It.l Ur i:nlria ftEUJICES
