Cottony
Division DlreClor
Natural Resource Trustee
After further review, additional problems were discovered regarding the 2003 Vegetation
Sampling Report. Although dry vegetation weights were measured, they were inadvertently
omitted from the report. Rather than production weight being calculated on these dry
weights, wet weight, or field weights, were used, leading to an abnormally high production
value being report in the "corrected" report of May 20, 2004. The reported production value,
although less, still easily meets the required standard.
Please replace the May 2004 report text with the enclosed report (June 21, 2004). Please
retain only the Raw Data Sheets for cover and stem density and the map (Exhibit KK-1) from
the previous report. Again, our apologies for the numerous errors and confusion. If you
have any questions about the data or the process in general, please contact me.
Sincerely,
/% ldQ~~
Kent A.
