r <br />• III III III IIIIIII III • <br />Proposal for Minor Revision to Permit 79-177 <br />Foidel Creek Mine <br />I. Purpose: <br />To request altering the designated disposal site for coal <br />development waste from the south end of the Area 1 Pit to <br />the north end, adjacent to the portal area for the Foidel <br />Creek Mine. <br />II. Applicable Regulations: <br />2.05.3(9), 4.09.1(1) (.Underground Development Waste) <br />III. Procedure: <br />I. Determine static water level and volume in proposed <br />disposal area. <br />2. Sample existing pit water for full-suite ground water <br />parameter list. <br />3. Document geochemical consistancy in existing core <br />analyses from Tiekan lease area. <br />4. Collect a representative sample of roof, floor and <br />coal material for leachate analysis. <br />5. Perform leachate analysis, correlating leochate <br />volume to time of travel in the spoils aquifer. <br />6. Analyze final lechate sample for full-suite ground <br />water parameter list. <br />7. Compare la:chate chemistry to existing spoil water <br />chemistry and baseline ground water chemistry in <br />the undisturbed aquifer. <br />8. Document non-degradation of ground water quality, <br />as required by 4.09.1(1)(a). <br />9. Prepare minor revision package. <br />10. Submit to the CMLRD. <br />
