That property is known as the Hazeltine Pit. The property will be improved as a
part of a water storage development project which is underway between Denver and South
Adams.
The acquisition was subject to the right of Albert Frei and Sons (the Operator) to continue to
mine the property for sand and gravel for a described time. The mining has now been completed.
The operator is in the process of removing the remaining stock-piled sand and gravel and
dismantling and removing the mining equipment. We expect the property to be able to be turned
over to Denver and South Adams sometime prior to February 2003.
The parties need to address, as one of the outstanding matters, the mining/reclamationpermtt. If
all that remains is to assure that grass and other plantings necessary for reclamation of the site
need to be established, it is probably in the best interest of the operator for Denver and South
Adams to take over such efforts. If there are other issues related to the mining activities, we need
to be aware of them. Accordingly, I am writing to ask if there aze any permit requirements are
currently outstanding for this property.
If you need information regarding the ownership or proposed plans for the property, I would be
pleased to provide it. Thank you for your considerarion of this request.
Sincerely,
Mic ael L.
