i <br /> <br />Finally, revegetation activities will establish a permanent vegetative cover <br />of the same seasonal variety native to the area and capable of <br />self-regeneration and plant succession equal in extent and cover to the <br />natural vegetation in the area. <br />The tit. Gunnison No. 1 Mine permit application was originally submitted on <br />November 6, 1979, and was approved on July 31, 1981. A five year permit was <br />issued on July 31, 1981 pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act, CRS 34-33-101 et seq. Since that time West Elk Coal Company <br />has operated the Mt. Gunnison No. T-Ffine in compliance with the terms and <br />conditions of their permit and the Act and Regulations of the Colorado t4ined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. <br />On January 17, 1986, the application for a five year renewal of the permit <br />application was submitted. <br />The legal description of lands included within this permit renewal is as <br />follows: <br />Sections 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and <br />34, T135, R90W of the 6th P.M. in Gunnison County. <br />The following decision document and findings of compliance was prepared for <br />the entire Mt. Gunnison permit area permitted to date under permit C-007-80. <br />Any stipulations from the original permit and findings document or subsequent <br />revisions that have been totally resolved to the satisfaction of the Division, <br />have been removed from this document. Therefore this document represents <br />current findings of compliance, and current stipulations still in affect. <br />This document also contains current cumulative hydrologic impact assessments <br />which have been expanded to include all areas of anticipated mining under <br />current MLRD and OSM regulations. <br />14 <br />
