Box W
Palisade, Colorado 81526
Re: Roadside Refuse Pile - Our File No. 77-442
Dear Dale:
I was pleased to see the progress that was made on grading the Roadside
refuse pile during my inspection of January 14, 1981. As was explained,
equipment breakdowns resulted in your not being able to meet the deadline
of January 14, 1981 to complete the rough grading of the Roadside refuse
pile. Therefore, the Division is granting an extension to January 28, 1981
to complete the rough grading. This 14 day extension was agreed on follow-
ing a discussion with Earl Wallum and yourself, as a practicle time for
completion. We also agreed that within 30-45 days, which would be by
February 27, 1981, the east edge of the pile along tVte access road to the
area above the mine would be cleaned up and any fine-tuning of the grading
will be accomplished.
Again, I would like to emphasize that Mined Land Reclamation considers
this to be a serious problem and your cooperation in meeting these deadlines
is appreciated.
If you have any questions or comments on this, please give me a call.
S'ncerel ,
Y
Ji Herron
Reclamation Specialist
JH:mab
