Based on this.information, the Division is requesting that Cemex develop a fugitive <br />dust control plan for blasting activities at the Dowe Flats Quarry. <br />Control measures and operating procedures to be employed may include, but are not limited to, the <br />removal of overburden prior to blasting, watering down the blast area both prior to and as soon as <br />practicable after blasting, or other equivalent methods or techniques approved by the Division <br />(Regulation No. 1, Section III.D.2.i.). The Division recommends that the fugitive dust control plan <br />include the use of a wind direction and wind speed monitoring device.
