5.0 RECOMENDATIONS
The two CBM production wells were reclaimed in October 2000. Since that time, levels of
methane in surface soils have been decreasing. This decrease would indicate that the wells were
the source of methane seepage. Basin Resources concludes that the source of the methane has
been identified and the levels in the surface soils are within acceptable ranges. Basin Resources
proposes to terminate all future monitoring since the area is not the responsibility of the mine.
