RE: Meeker Area Mines (C-81-032); Permit Renewal
Identification of Interests, Compliance, Right of Entry
Barb, I received your memo requesting assistance for the Meeker
Mines permit renewal application (C-81-032). Sections 2.03.4,
Identification of Interest, 2.03.5 Compliance Information and
2.03.6 Rights of Entry and Operation Information were reviewed. I
have the following comments;
1. The Applicant Violator System was queried for Enron Coal
Company and the system recommendation was ISSUE. I was unable
to print from the AVS, so I will give you the AVS printout
later. Two more AVS checks are required, one prior to the
decision date and another prior to issuance of the renewal.
Please let me know when these checks are necessary.
2. Page B-8 of the permit states that Enron Coal Company is a
wholly owned subsidiary of Enron Corporation. Enron Minerals
Company is mentioned in several areas of the permit, but does
not state the relationship of that company to Enron Coal Co.
nor Enron Corporation. Please have the operator clarify in
the permit pages the relationship of Enron Minerals to Enron
Coal Co. and Enron Corporation.
3. Please have the operator update the officers and directors for
Enron Coal Co., Enron Corporation and Enron Minerals Co. The
last update was noted on 7/25/89. Updates are required under
Rule 2.03.4.
4. Rule 2.03.4(3)(c) requires that the operator submit beginning
dates for all officers and directors associated with the given
company. Beginning dates are not included in the permit pages
(B-1 through B-13) for Enron Coal Co., Enron Corporation and
Enron Minerals Co. Please have the operator submit beginning
dates for all of the officers and directors, as well as
ending dates if applicable.
