We take pride in our operation, placing safety first and oro- <br />duction goals second. Please find attached some general information sheets about <br />our mine and mine area along with the information below: <br />I. Safety Goal <br />1) To work safely with no lost-time accidents each year. We are cur- <br />rently at a total of 102 days without a lost-time injury for the <br />entire mine. <br />2) Trapper's excellent safety record resulted in three separate awards <br />during 1982--"The Sentinel of Safety Award," presented by the Mine <br />Safety and Health Administration and the American Mining Congress; an <br />"Award of Honor," presented by the National Safety Council; and the <br />"Award of Honor for Large Surface Operations," from the Colorado <br />Divlsion of Mines. <br />II. General <br />1) Trapper is the third largest producing coal <br />annual production of 2.3 million tons. <br />2) There are three active pits on the minesite. <br />3) Four main seams are presently being mined: <br />occurring in both Q and R Seams. <br />4) Dip line mining is practiced. <br />mine in Colorado with an <br />H, I, Q and R with splits <br />5) All coal is delivered to the Craig Generating Station at a grade of <br />about 9800 Btu per pound. <br />III.
