We have
not yet received a signed copy of that permit document. That document should be signed and
returned to the Division immediately.
Secondly, on our visit to the Bear Number 3 Mine several weeks ago, we discussed the plans you
were formulating to construct a shallow pond in the truck turn-around azeaof the mine yard to
provide treatment to the effluent from the spring. As we said at the time, we agree that the pond
may be a workable treatment for the water. We aze awaiting receipt of the plans and look
forwazd to the treatment commencing before winter season.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me or Larry Routten.
Sincerely,
Jim Burnell
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Jim Stover, Stover & Associates
