Walther
E>ecutive Dueaor
Michael B. Long
Division Director
I recently discussed the required distribution of revision and renewal application materials to OSM and
BLM with Mark Wayment. Because both permits involve federal coal, both are "federal operations". As
such, both OSM and BLM maintain copies of the permits and need to be provided with amended permit
pages and exhibits associated with minor, technical, and permit revisions and renewals. OSM has
requested that they be provided with fmaliud amended pages and exhibits only. BLM is to be provided
with all application materials (including adequacy response submittals) at the same time such materials are
submitted to DMG, in addition [o the fmalized amended pages and exhibits that are provided to OSM.
For OSM, please send finalized revision and renewal materials to:
Carl Johnson
Office of Surface Mining
Western Regional Coordinating Center
1999 Broadway, Suite 3320
Denver, CO 80202-5733
For BLM, please send copies of all revision and renewal application materials to:
Resource Area Manager
U.S. Bureau of Land Management
2815 H Road
Grand Junction, Colorado 81506
