I told you that I would send a handout which you could make available for the public at this
week's outreach meetins in Paonia regarding the federal coal leases in the Nonh Fork Valley. Copies of a
handout are enclosed. The handout summarizes DMG's role in reviewins coal mine permits and, briefly
answers some of the questions we have been receivtne from citizens in the Paonia area. We would
appreciate the BLivt making these handouts available at your upcoming meetine.
As I mentioned, we would be happy [o participate in any of the meetings related to the coal leasing process
if that would be helpful. If you have any questions about the enclosed materials, please call me or Joe
Dudash at the numbtr above.
Sincerely,
~~~~~
Larry Routten
Senior Environmental Protection Specialist
enclosures
