In these tests lithium chloride was added to the well injection stream, and <br />subsequent sampling of the production stream was used to determine cavity residence time. The <br />tests were conducted in two stages. No mishaps, releases, or fugitive emissions occurred during, or <br />as a result of the tests. <br />Based on the success of these previous tests American Soda is requesting a minor modification to <br />Part II Section C. 6. (k) of EPA Area Permit C03858-00000 Rio Blanco County, Colorado from the <br />current language (April 23, 2002): <br />(k) Lithium chloride added as a tracer to monitor the cavity mixing and turn around <br />characteristics in six cavities as follows: <br />1.
