Cultural and Historic Resources -Rules 2.04.4 and 2.05.6(4)
The specific findings required under this section which were made in the
July, 1987 Findings Document (Renewal) have not been modified by the
proposed revision and those findings remain applicable.
The proposed operation is in compliance with the requirements of this
section.
IU, Geoloav -Rules 2.04.5 and 2.04.6
V
VI
Geologic information supplied by the operator in regard to the area of
proposed PR-03 appears in Section 2.04.6 of the permit application
package. This information indicates no significant differences exist
between the basic geology of the current permit area and that of PR-03.
Complete analyses of the coal seam and associated roof and floor
submitted for PR-02 conform with the 1982 MLRD guidelines for the
baseline quality and overburden geochemistry data. The analyses did not
indicate the presence of acid forming, toxic forming or alkalinity
producing materials.
The proposed section is in compliance with the requirements of this
section.
Ground Water Hydrology - Rules 2.04.5, 2.04.7, 2.05.6(3) and 4.05
Ground water information submitted in the original permit application and
in the proposed permit revision addresses all ground water issues for the
entire permitted area.
The proposed operation is in compliance with the requirements of this
section.
Surface Water Hydrology - Rules 2.04.5, 2.04.7, 2.05.3(4), 2.05.6(3)
and 4.0
No surface disturbance is proposed within the area of PR-03. Mining of
the area will be entirely accomplished thru extension of underground
workings from the present Kinq Coal Mine. Due to recent changes in the
rules concerning sediment ponds and the increase in size of the coal and
non-coal waste permanent storage pile, revisions to the drainage and
sediment control system are necessitated.
-5-
