Following The Alpine Group's successful acquisition of American Premier's North American Rehactories and Chemicals businesses, The Alpine Group has now created the world's third largest refractory company. The newly combined refractories group comprises of American Premiei s Rehactories and Chemicals, Hepworth Rehactories and BMIFrance. The new company will trade as Premier Refractories International. Over the course of the next few weeks each of the existing companies in the refractory group will be renamed under the Premier Rehactories banner and you will be notified of the full details at that fame. Premier Refractories International now combines many of the world's most famous names in refractories, namely: Hepworth Rehactories Premier Rehactories Canada GR Stein Be1Ref Les Products Siliceux (LPS) Constructions Thermique Europeenes (CTE) Premier Rehactories and Chemicals Premier Services Corporation Adience BMI-France J. H. France Findlay Refractories Fumco The formation of Premier Refractories International will offer many of our suppliers a significant opportunity to increase then sales to our company. From our perspective we wish to work with suppliers who can enable us to achieve our goal of becoming the world's leading quality low cost refractory manufacturer. As you well know, our customers are constantly looking to reduce their costs of manufacture and we have to be supportive of this desire. This in turn places pressure on you, our supplier base, to help us deliver excellent products and services to our customers over the long term at the lowest possible cost. I will be writing to you again in the neaz future to inform you of relevant changes to individual company names and details, In that letter I will also take the opportunity to outline a number of initiatives we will be implementing to help reduce the cost of our purchased products.
