Long
Division D~rcaor
Re: Trinidad Basin Mine (C-82-055) Linden Avenue Loadout Coal Material
Sampling, Final Laboratory Report
Dear Mr. Haugen:
[ am forwarding the final report to you of the results of the coal material sampling the
Division conducted on February 21, 1995 at the Linden Avenue Loadout associated with the
Trinidad Basin Mine revoked mining permit. This report includes all laboratory quality
control and method references which were not sent to you in previous fax transmittals.
To apprise you of the bid amendment that will be issued later today for the work at the
Trinidad Basin Mine site and Linden Avenue I.oadout, the task involving coal material at
the loadout has been revised. The task will no longer involve removal and haulage of all
estimated coal material on site (approx 10,000 cu.yd.). This task has been revised to regrade
the existing material away from the track at a grade of 1% and either regrade it on-site or
remove approximately 1600 cu.yd. of material. If the material would need to be disposed
of off-site this 1600 cu. yds. would be substantially less than the originally projected 10,000
cu. yds.
We appreciate the input you have provided throughout this matter. If you should have
additional questions or concerns, please call.
Sincerely,
anet H\ Binns
' on ental Protection Specialist
c: \jhb\C81048\final.lab
