Dudash
1313 Sherman, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: Wyoming Fuel Company, Golden Eagle Mine, Permit No. C-81-013
Mr. Dudash:
It is now my understanding that the air shaft drilled on my property
was not for the purpose of mining under my land but. for the ventilation of
the mine works laying to the North of my property. Can you advise me as
to the truth on this matter?
I am further concerned about 4.20.3, 121 (2)(a)(c) which says that
the person conducting underground mining activities shall purchase a
prepaid insurance policy or other means approved by the division to
indemnify the surface owner from damage. What was done in this case?
I am also concerned about the violation of 4.20.3, (2)(a) that calls
for the mine to restore, rehabilitate; etc., etc., promptly after damage
has occurred. My home is continuing to suffer damage due to subsidence.
Why is the mine not required to follow the law?
Why is the mine not required under 4.20.4 to do something about my
water well?
Please advise.
Very truly yours,
.JIM TATUM AND ASSOCIATES
Tatum
JT\dbl
