Archer
Sun Coal Company, Incorporated
10200 West 44th Avenue, Suite 120
Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033
RE: Meadows #1 Mine (C-81-029)
Dear Mr. Archer:
Michael B. Long,
Division Director
Enclosed please find the revision forms you requested. At this time I would also like to
reiterate our discussions yesterday and today:
1. The Division is requesting a minor revision to the Meadows permit application
regarding the reclaim tunnel facility. Please amend the application to reflect that
the tunnel will be retained by Mr. Eilts.
2. As previously requested, the Division is also requiring a revised or additional
page for the permit application stating that records for the mine can be reviewed
at the office of Dan Ellison.
3. In order to qualify for final bond release, Sun Coal Company must have two
consecutive years of vegetation monitoring as outlined in the currently approved
reclamation permit. Should the Division approve an alternate reference azea for
the site, Sun Coal would need vegetation data in comparison to the new reference
area for two consecutive years.
If you have questions or are in need of additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Susan L Morrison
Reclamation Specialist
Enclosure
SLM\033192B.~VP
