• .__, •
._
HARRISON WESTERN
CORPORATION
October 8, 1992
Mined Land Reclamation Division
Department of Natural Resources
Attn: Mr. Steve Renner
1313 Sherman St. Room 215
Denver, CO. 80203
Mr. Fenner,
~ `; ~`.
OCT1~199~
DIVI~;
MINERALS 8 Gr_y, ,
As a follow up to the meeting held at your office on Thursday, October
1, 1992 with Frank Johnson, David Neslin, Donald Bozarth, Robert
Williams and yourself to discuss the GEC West Pit situation please
review the following.
The meeting discussion centered around the need of MLRD to advise and
direct Harrison Western on how it should proceed with the requirements
of the April 22, 1992 Compliance Agreement in light of the recently
filed law suit relating to the Diversion Ditch outfall culvert
location. MLRD, along with HWC, offered a few options on how the
situation could be handled. However, no final decisions were made.
The parties agreed to hold further discussions with their in-house
representatives assigned to the West Pit reclamation work. The target
was set for the week of October 5-9 to respond to each other with any
new information. It was pointed out that HWC was under a time
constraint: firstly, due to the N.O.V. issued by the MLRD which must
be corrected by October 16 and secondly, due to the law suit filed by
Dr. Corley, which HWC must respond to no later than October 18, 1992.
We await MLRD input and decision regarding the location and design of
the Diversion Ditch and culvert outfall in order that we may proceed
with the completion of the compliance agreement requirements.
ards,
Rober~Will
RW10-061/AF
iii iiiiiiiuiiii iii
4860 Robb Street, Suite 101, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033 ~ (303) 467-1239
FAX (303) 467-3666
