In particulaz, construction of the new road to the Somerset Cemetery will resume. On <br />Sunday, Match 8, a temporary road though the construction azea will be available for the publiQQ to <br />travel to the cemetery. Again, on Sunday, March 22, a temporary road through the conshvctionl+area <br />will be available for the public to travel to the cemetery. 11 <br />Although tbe road will be temporary, it will be gravel surfaced, and will be accessible by automobile. <br />Safety flagging will be put out to identify danger areas not open to public access. We will try to <br />arrange for this temporary access on an every other Sunday basis, however, if necessary we will <br />provide access to the cemetery at any time. <br />The schedule for construction of the new road to the Somerset Cemetery anticipates completi~ by <br />ntid-June. We are working with the contractor to start construction early, and we hope to be <br />completed with the new road.by Memorial Day weekend Regazdless of the weather and any <br />unforeseen delays, be assured that on Memorial Day weekend there will be good access to the <br />cemetery. <br />Other construction activities associated with the surface coal handling facility modifications at the <br />Sanborn Creek Mine will continue tbroughoui the summer. This public notice is a warning reminder <br />of hazards associated with the construction activity. <br />During consttuction there will be increased use of heavy equipment and traffic on the mine site. <br />There is an increased danger from rock falls from the steep slopes above the facilities area Also, <br />there will be occasional blasting of rocks during the constrtction. <br />While Oxbow Mining, Inc., Sanborn Creek Mine is committed to providing public access to the <br />Somerset Cemetery, al] other aeeas of the mine property must be closed to the public during <br />construction.
