I am sure you have read my marry letters. At this point we haven't
gotten anywhere close to solving our problem with Carl Mount.
I will again explain the problems we have had with the Dept. since we
applied for and received our first pesmit. We applied for a prospecting
permit to prospect for gold on the property we own with a lode mine on it
called the Emma Lode Enterprise. We received our permit and had to put
up a letter of credit with our bank totaling $5;000.00. After we took another
look at where we wanted to prospect we decided it was not on our property
sa we notifred the Dept. of Mineral and Geotogy to cancel our permit giving
them that reason and we thought it was taken care of. This was back in
1987. Then in 2004 our banker notifred us of a problem we had with your
Dept. We got in touch with the Dept. and told them we had never mined for
gold on the property and this is when all our problems started. Your Dept.
wanted our lever of credit plus a fine for $3, 000.00 totaling $8, 000.00. We
thought that the Dept would have notifred us since we have another permit
and had received our yearly assessment paper work every year for 12
years. The only excuse they could come up with is; we didn't give them our
forwarding address. No one from your Dept. even said they were sorry for
putting us through this mess. When ftnally we got the Emma Lode property
inspected by Erica Crosby and Carl Mount they also wanted to inspect our
161 acres, Gold Basin Mine. Fram their attitude we knew it wasn't going to
be easy.
