Public Notice <br />CAM MINING LLC, P.O. Box 98, Loma, CO 81524, has submitted a complete application <br />for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its Munger Canyon Mine <br />and Loma Loadout, Mining and Reclamation Permit No. C-81-020. The proposed revision <br />will clarify the location and nomenclature of the groundwater monitoring wells by updating <br />tables and figures based on the current approved monitoring program. <br />The Munger Canyon Mine is located approximately 18 miles north of Loma, CO along <br />State Highway 139. East Salt Creek is west of the permit boundary. The surface of the <br />permit area is owned by the United States. The permit area is encompassed within <br />portions of Sections 21, 27, 28, 29, 31, 32, 33 and 34 of Township 7 South, Ran~e 102 <br />West, 6~' P.M. and Sections 2, 3 and 4 of Township 8 South, Range 102 West, 6 P.M. <br />The Loma Loadout is approximately one-half mile east of Loma, Colorado. The surface of <br />the permit area is owned by the Union Pacific Railroad. The permit area is encompassed <br />within portions of the SW~/aSW~/a of Section 34 Township 2 North, Range 3 West, Ute <br />Meridian and Portions of the NEB/aNW~/4 of Section 3 Township 1 North, Range 3 West, Ute <br />Meridian. <br />The mine site sections are contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Howard <br />Canyon and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle maps. The Loadout sections are contained <br />within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Mack Quadrangle Map. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the <br />approved permit application document, as well as the technical revision application, are <br />available at the Denver and Grand Junction offices of the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology [Room 215, 1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567; and 101 <br />South 3`d, Suite 301, Grand Junction, CO 81501, (970} 242-5025]. Written comments <br />regarding this application may be submitted to and additional information may be <br />obtained from the Denver office of the Division of Minerals and Geology. Written comments must be <br />received by the Division of Minerals and Geology within 10 days after the date of this <br />publication in order to be considered. <br />
