Wells A-1, A-2 and A-3 were shallow alluvial monitoring wells less than seven
feet deep where the casing was removed, the hole filled with Bentonite pellets and graded
over. The remaining wells were cut four feet below the surface, filled with Bentonite
pellets from the bottom of the hole up, hydrated with water, capped with two feet of
cement, and graded over.
Due to the age of these wells, they do not have a well permit number. They have been
identified by their designations as listed in the 2001 Chimney Rock Mine Annual
Hydrologic Monitoring Report.
Please do not hesitate to call either Jerry Koblitz or myself should you have any questions
(303-850-0930). Thanks for your help with this project.
Sincerer
P.
