The Division comment is re-stated, followed immediately
by the CYCC response.
DMG Concern
1) Inspection of the SEDCAD+ hydrology routing network map shows
two branches meeting at junction 3. Junction 3 is also the entire
watershed outlet. Anytime two or more branches meet at the final
junction, another junction is required immediately downstream to
insure all hydrographs are summed. Therefore, 4 junctions are
required in this model. Please correct your information, including
Figure 32, and resubmit.
CYCC Response
Upon review, CYCC concurrs with the Division. Per our conversation,
the revised channel configuration and associated materials which
are enclosed are based on the revised peak flow value of 395.3 cfs.
This revised peak flow value is the summation of the values for JBS
311 and JBS 323 from the previously submitted sizing run, which
represent the confluence point of the two primary watershed network
branches which join at the head of the section to be repaired. All
other parameters have remained unchanged as discussed, and Figure
32 has been revised to reflect these changes.
