COIIJRADO MINED LAND RECLAMATION BOARD -2- April 5, 1996
The city water treatment plant which is located so close to the
mining activity is another life safety concern.
The fact that all these people, historic sites, wildlife and envir-
onments are harassed and endangered because they closely surround but
are technically beyond a 200' limit puts the mining industry in a very
poor light.
This hazardous and disgraceful situation should not be repeated.
Mining another 35 acres will compound the seriousness of the situation
far beyond a mere doubling of acreage.
I am currently at work with other persons to look for peaceful
solutions to these problems.
I respectfully submit my hope that the Board will revoke this permit.
There should be no more mining on Fremont Peak. I believe that rzclama-
tion of the existing mined area should be accomplished as quickly as
possible with little or no further disturbance.
Sincerely yours,
~S~
Cara D.
