Canany
Division Director
NaNral Resource Trustee
I am requesting your assistance in the review of the reclamation cost estimate for Technical Revision No. 34
(TR-34). In TR-34, Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) is proposing to construct a coal conveyor system to
bring B-seam coal from the B-seam portal bench up to the D-seam portal bench for handling through the
breaker and crusher. From there, the coal will be conveyed through the downhill conveyor system to the unit
train loadout. BRL is also proposing to construct a temporary coal breaker and crusher handling system until
the coal conveyor system is constructed. The project will disturb an additiona10.5 acres of surface land that is
owned by BRL.
Attached is one copy of the TR-34 submittal. I will be on vacation from May l 1 through May 25. If
you need information during that time period, please see Sandy or you can call Jim Stover at (970)
245-4101.
BRL would like to begin construction around the middle of June. If you could get your memo to me by
May 25, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Attachments
cc: Sandy Brown (w/o attachments)
c:/word/bowie2/tr34memo 1
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
