Long <br />, Division Director <br />Re: Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-81.010) <br />Permit Renewal RN-03/Permit Revision PR-04 <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, <br />Paragraph 3, of [he Colorado Revised Statutes, [hat ort June 20, 1997, an application to renew and revise an existing <br />permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. <br />All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue surface coal mining and reclamation operations on land located approximately <br />6 miles southwest of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 5 and 6, Township 5 North, Range 90 West of [he 6th P.M. <br />All or Portions of Sections I, 2, 3.4 and 5, Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />All or Portions of Sections 30, 31 and 32, Township 6 North, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M. <br />All or Portions of Sections 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the <br />6th P.M. <br />Projected activities include disturbing an additional 1,025 acres within the existing permit area to add new mine pits <br />and advance current pits. <br />A copy of the renewaVrevision application is available for public inspection at the Moffat County Courthouse, 22] <br />W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office.
