<br />-3- <br />It was discovered that an area of 0.3 acres was used in calculating the willow and <br />cottonwood seedling planting costs in task 12c of the bond estimate, whereas the <br />actual riparian area is approximately 4.0 acres. The Division adjusted this cost for <br />the additional 3.7 acres which increased the cost for task 12c by $2,248.00. <br />Summary <br />Prior Total Direct Cost $134,073.00 <br />Adjusted Structural Demolition <$7,600.00> <br />Adjusted Concrete Demolition <$14,963.00> <br />Deleted Shrub Planting Cost <$8,812.00> <br />Adjusted Riparian Shrub Planting Costs $2,248.00 <br />Include TR-12 Screening Plant Bond $4,339.00 <br /> <br />Total Direct Reclamation Costs $109,285.00 <br />Total Indirect Reclamation Costs $ 35,651.00 <br />Total Performance Bond Amount $144,936.00 <br />The Division and Bear Coal Company have agreed to round the bond to $145,000.00. <br />As a result of this agreement, Bear Coal Company submitted, by Fax, a request to withdraw <br />the request for formal board hearing concerning the bond amount. <br />Pursuant to Rule 3.02.1, please submit to the Division by October 15, 1993 a valid bond in <br />the amount of $145,000.00. Additionally, submit a letter from each of the constnrction <br />companies that bid on the concrete demolition tasks, specifying that they will honor their <br />respective bids for a period no shorter than 2.5 years. These letters must be submitted no <br />later than September I, 1993. Please understand that the Division cannot accept the Bear <br />Coal Co. numbers for concrete removal in the absence of these letters. <br />Bond submittal forms for use with Certificates of Deposit and for use with U.S. Treasury <br />Notes have been enclosed at your request. If you have any questions regarding the submittal <br />of these forms, please call Debbie Mulloy at our office. <br />
