No individuals were identified during the field survey. <br />5.0 THREATENED AND ENDANGERED FAUNA <br />In following the guidelines of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended, a seazch <br />was made for federally listed TES fauna species in the project area. A search was also <br />conducted for a listing of Colorado State threatened and endangered species. Ecosphere <br />informally consulted with the USFWS to determine TES fauna species with the potential <br />to occur in La Plata County, Colorado. Those with potential to occur in or near the <br />project azea are listed and described below. No listed threatened or endangered animals <br />or signs thereof, were observed in the project area. <br />5.1 TES Fauna Eliminated from Detailed Consideration <br />Listed in Table l.] are federally listed TES fauna species that have the potential to occur <br />in the project area. Listed in Table 1.2 are Colorado State listed threatened and <br />endangered fauna species that have the potential to occur in the project area. The <br />following species have been eliminated from detailed consideration in this report. The <br />table provides specific reasons for elimination of species from detailed evaluation. <br />4 <br />
