Box 187
Craig, CO 81626
RE: TR-61 Preliminary Adequacy Review - C-81-010
Dear Mr. Agnew:
The Division has completed its preliminary adequacy review for technical
revision 61 "1992 Mining Disturbance". The following issues were identified
as needing further information or clarification prior to the Division
rendering a final decision on or before April 6, 1992.
1. Culvert A-3 needs peak flow information included on Table 4.8.1.
2. Culvert WP-1 would not be able to pass the outflows associated with pond
West Pyeatt #2. This culvert needs to be enlarged or removed and Table
4.8.1A needs updated.
3. Please correct the third paragraph on page 1-31 to read "worst case"
rather than "worst cast".
4. Prior to a final decision, the Division will need to review the proposed
topsoil stockpile locations for the 1992 stripping. It is understood
that this Information will arrive soon in the Annual Report.
Please call me with questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Kent A.
