Addressee's Address (Only it requested <br />and /ee is paid) <br />This letter is to notify you, as an adjacent landowner, that Basin Resources, Inc., 14,300 Highway 12, <br />Weston Colorado 81091, [he operator of Golden Eagle Mine Permit number C-81-013, is filing for Phase <br />1 Bond release with the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology. Permit C-81-013 was issued <br />by [he Division on June 22,1994. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine is located in Sections 20, 21, 28 & 29, T33S, R67 W. A total of 59 acres of surface <br />disturbance from mining is covered.by a Coal Reclamation Bond in the amount of $1,530,000. The <br />permittee is applying for and Division guidelines allow For the release of up to 60% of the total bond <br />amount N a Phase [Bond release. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine ceased production on December 31, 1995. In accordance with the approved <br />reclamation plan and as required for phase one bond release, sealing of the mine shafts was completed by <br />May 1996; removal of surface facilities, foundations and footers by November 1996; and rough and final <br />grading, returning the surface to approximate original contour, and establishment of drainage channels and <br />controls by January 1997. <br />Any written comments, objections or requests for a public hearing or informal conference regarding this <br />bond release application must be submitted [o the Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman S(ree[ <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203 by August 30, 1997. <br />Sincerely, <br />Ronald G.
