BEI believes tnat tnara will oe no
discernable increase in free cyanide levels for the following reasons:
1. The amount of cyanide eellected from the AVR prior to the blower breakdown
was negligible (perhaps ten gallons par three days). This same negligible
amount is expected to be collected today. EVen 1f nothing is collected
ten gallons in three days compared to a tailing flow rate of 1266 gallons
per minute is insignificant.
The amount of cyanide collected Rre and post blower breakdown can be
checked with Rich Neu of San Luis.
2. The measured levels of free cyanide at the splket and all three ponds nre
the same before and after blower breakdown. You have those results sent
to you daily from San Luis.
3. CyTox will reduce free cyanide, in 24 hours, to 2X of the original level.
The attached graphs show results from both pure chemical tests and from
tests at FMC Gold on their tailing slurry. At FMC therte era no metal
WAD's to interfere with free Cyanide analysis, so the data is accurate.
I!~rpat51 e..4o^n0.7T7 en~p4'Ven.....~.. cl„y ,~-sa .... _ .- --` _.. _.. ... .._
