Permit C-81-013 <br />was issued by the Division on July 26, 2000. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine is located in Sections 20, 21, 28 & 29, T33S. Rti7W. A total of 59 acres of <br />surface disturbance from mining is covered by a Coal Reclamation Bond in the amount of $~i77,085. The <br />permittee is applying for and Division guidelines allow for the release of up [0 85°/p of the total bond <br />amount in a Phase II Bond release. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine ceased production on December 3l, 1995. Phase I bond release (removal of <br />structures and 5na1 grading) was approved on March 13, 1998. In accordance with the approved <br />reclamation plan and as required for Phase II bond release, a vegetation assessment of the reclamation <br />areas was completed in Iuly of 2000 during the third growing season. <br />Any written comments, objections or requests for a public hearing or informal conference retarding tlus <br />bond release application must be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geologv. 1313 Sherman Street <br />Room 21~, Detrver.
