Some <br />Exhibit nomenclature differs from new permit nomenclature. As this is an amendment <br />submittal, the existing Exhibit nomenclature was retained. <br />Item 2 You need to show the north access road and all the sedimentation <br />(holding ponds on all Exhibit maps Please revise the maps. <br />The North access road and the sedimentation ponds have been added to the following <br />Amendment exhibits. <br />Map Exhibit C Affected Lands Map <br />Map Exhibit D-1 Mining Plan and Stages Map <br />Map Exhibit F Reclamation Map <br />Map Exhibit I-1 Soils Map <br />Map Exhibit J-1 Vegetation Map <br />A new Mining Plan (Exhibit D) has been provided to the Division, as part of the response <br />to a Permit Disturbance Variance in July 1999. Exhibit D, unchanged from the draft <br />version, has been incorporated into the attached replacement pages for the permit <br />amendment. Specifically, Page S of Exhibit D was changed as follows in response to this <br />comment. <br />The farm road will be left intact after mining is complete. Additionally, a North <br />access road has been constructed to service the mine operations in Section 16. <br />This North access road and all ~reFe other roads wnstructed for mining <br />purposes will be reclaimed unless otherwise requested by the landowner. <br />Item 3 You did not submit a new Mining Plan (Exhibit D) which indicates you <br />intend to follow the existing-approved mining plan. If that is the case, <br />you need to provide additions!-more detailed information involving the <br />phased operations. In the approved plan, Robinson Brick Company <br />("RBC") committed to mine Stage 2A after Slage IA ww depleted The <br />operator appears to be in compliance with this requirement The plan <br />further states that "likewise, mining in Stage 2B will not begin until all <br />clays are removed from Stage I B ".
