The responses are addressed in the same
order as they were presented in the comment letter. As you are aware,
while the review of the initial C seam submittal and formulation of the
enclosed adequacy responses was going on the mine was advancing. As
we discussed, there is a need to submit a minor revision to allow mining to
continue while the enclosed responses are approved. A minor revision
application is also enclosed to allow continued mining in the C seam.
1 The text of the Public Notice referring to the informal conference and the
Typographical error by the paper have been amended. The new proof of (((///
publication is enclosed.
3
2. The analysis of the coal and the floor are included as Figures 6-`and 6-5.
3. The operator could find no statement in the previous submittal that the
seam was dry. Pages 12-8 and 12-9 have been expanded to address
specific concerns of Jim Burnell. These concerns included the amount of
water, its quality and source. Documentation is presented that indicated
that the amount of water being discharged from the mine is decreasing.
The water quality analysis is presented in Table 12-4. A discussion
regarding the source of the water and the effect on the hydrologic regime is
also presented.
