Division would be appropriate (subsidence is complete and subsidence monitoring is no longer <br />required). Verification of the subsidence prediction is not as clear. Stations directly over mining <br />did not subside as much as expected, and subsidence appeared to manifest at periods later than <br />anticipated. Such is not surprising for the failure of robbed pillars and retreat mining over time. <br />Areas at mining boundaries should not be expected to subside much. No adverse impacts to <br />renewable resources have been observed. Overall, monitoring of these widely-spaced monitoring <br />points has accomplished the objective. <br />I recommend approval of the application, with the addition of a requirement for a final <br />measurement at the time of final bond release of affected areas. <br />4 <br />
