Lnng <br />, Division Diraclor <br />Re: Foidel Creek Mine (Permit No. C-1982-056) <br />Permit Revision Application No. 5 (PR-5) <br />Northern Mining District Permit Revision <br />Dear Routt County Commissioners: <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to approve with <br />conditions a revision application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by <br />Twentymile Coal Company on March I, 1999, for the Foidel Creek Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before [he Mined Land Reclamation Board within thirty (30) days of [he first publication of this notice by <br />the Division in [he Steamboat Pilot. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The permit <br />area is further described as follows: <br />In portions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4W, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35 <br />and 36 in TSN, R87W; and all ofTSN, R86W with the exception of Sections 34, 35, and 36. <br />Copies of the revision application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />[he Routt County Clerk and Recorders Office.
