r ~ •
Revised March, 1992
• RECLAMATION PLAN
The final configuration of the fill is designed to minimize
erosion. The final configuration takes into account a number of
the components of the Streeter Fill reclamation which have proven
successful. The final outslope will not exceed 3h:ly. Drainage
benches of at least a 12 foot width will be constructed at
approximately 100 foot vertical increments. These drainage benches
will direct surface runoff to the west into a permanent drainage
channel designed to pass safely the runoff from a 100 year, 24 hour
precipitation event. See the attached Exhibit 19 II-b, Section 16
Fill Design for complete details regarding the proposed
construction of the fill.
Reclamation, specifically topsoil replacement, seeding etc.
will be implemented consistent with the Section 2.05 of the permit
which have proven to be successful on Streeter Fill and other
reclaimed areas at Colowyo.
INSPECTION PLAN
During construction of the Section 16 Fill, Colowyo will
provide the following information in certified reports as required
by Rule 4.09.1(11).
• 1. Prior to construction of the fill the existence of
shallow bedrock at the toe of the fill will be documented
and certified by a registered Engineer. The Division
will be notified should the further investigation of the
toe area indicate conditions other than shallow bedrock.
Appropriate alternative analysis and recommendations will
then be completed by CTLiThompson and implemented by
Colowyo prior to construction of the fill. Any amended
design will be submitted to the Division for its review
and approval, prior to construction of the Section 16
Fill.
2. Inspections will be conducted at least quarterly during
the construction period and during the following specific
construction periods.
a. removal of topsoil and organic material
b. placement of underdrain system
c. installation of surface drain system
d. placement of fill material to insure that the
largest rocks are reaching the bottom of the dump
face and that the formation of voids that adversely
affect mass stability are prevented and
e. revegetation
•
II a-3
