. 2. Reclamation Timetable
The time for reclamation is shown below. Exhibit L: Reclamation Costs describes the worst case
bond scenario.
Table E-3: Reclamation Tasks and Timetable from the end of 2006
Task # Description Time Needed Months
1 Mine Phase 1. 9.6
3 Reclaim Phase 1, and mine Phase 2. 34.8
4 Reclaim Phase 2, and mine Phase 3. 26.4
5 Reclaim Phase 3, and mine Phase 4. 28.8
6 Reclaim Phase 4, and mines Phase 5. 19.2
7 Reclaim Phase 5. 3.0
Total months 121.8
Total years 10.2
3. Revegetation Plan
• For both the dryland and wetland areas, the soil will be disced to loosen the soil. Due to the mild
grade, seed can be drilled in all regions except the slopes, which will be hydroseeded. For areas
which are hydtoseeded areas, the amounts shown in the tables below will be doubled. The
dryland areas will be seeded with the NRCS recommended seed mix prescribed in the original
permit, and shown below in Table E-4. Certified weed free hay mulch will be crimped into the
surface at 20001bs per acre for all flat areas. For the slopes of 2H:1 V, the seed and wood fiber
mulch will be applied with a tackifier at the recommended rate. The wetlands will be seeded with
a specially designed mix. Fertilizer maybe added as determined by a soil test at the time of
seeding. Heavy furrows will be left in the tilled topsoil to provide moisture concentration and
shade areas in order to promote better conditions for successful vegetation establishment.
Seeding will take place the fall after which a slope has been retopsoiled. Slopes will be regraded,
backfilled, and retopsoiled as soon as they aze able to be reclaimed. Fall seeding applications will
take place between September 1 and October 15 of the respective yeaz of seeding.
•
Colona Pit March 07 E-3
