TRAPPER MINING INC.
PR-2 RESPONSE - 12/8/87
DIVISION COMMENT:
of this ash disposal site. Downcutting of surface drainage through
either of the ash disposal sites is not acceptable due to the fact
that four fee[ of cover is required to remain on top of these
sites.
On the postmining topography maps, drainage J2 is depicted only by
the letter and has little to no defined valley area. The proposed
location of this drainage through its length should be denoted on
the map as required For all drainage lengths through the postmining
area. Topographic definitions of this channel should also be
accomplished.
In Trapper's responses to our adequacy issues, it is stated that new
mapping of the entire project area will be accomplished during the
summer and fall of 1987. It is further stated [hat these maps will
be available during the first quarter of 1988, and can be supplied
to the Division upon our request. The outcome of this new mapping
would be revised roap M12, post-mining topography, showing the anti-
cipated postmining configuration at a consistent contour interval of
!0 feet. Trapper Mining needs to commit to submitting these maps to
[he Division at a reasonable date after [he mapping is
accomplished.
RESPONSE:
The requested changes have been made to map M12 and it is enclosed. Addition-
ally, results of the new mapping performed a[ Trapper are being evaluated. As
a result, the new map M12 reflecting a consistent contour interval will be
provided to the Division by March 31, 1988.
