Addressee's Address (Only it requested ~ <br />and !ee is paid) i <br /> <br />This letter is to notify you,.as an adjacent landowner, that Basin Resources, Inc., 14,300 Highway l2, <br />Weston Colorado 81091, the operator of Golden Eagle Mine Permit number C-81-013, is filing for Phase <br />[Bond release with the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology. Permit C-81-013 was issued <br />by the Division on June 22,1994. t _ <br />The Golden Eagle Mine is located in Sections 20, 21, 28 Rc 29, T33S, R67W. A total of 59 acres of surface <br />disturbance from mining is covered by a Coal Reclamation Bond in the amount of $1,530,000. The <br />pel-mittce is applying for and Division guidelines allow for the release of up to 60% of [he total bond <br />amount in a Phase 1 Bond release. <br />I The Golden Eagle Mine ceased production on December 3l, 1995. In accordance with the approved <br />reclamation plan and as required for phase one bond release, sealing of the mine shafts was completed by <br />May 1996; removal of surface facilities, foundations and footers by November 1996; and rough and final <br />grading, returning the surface to approximate original contour, and establishment of drainage channels and <br />controls by January 1997. <br />' Any written comments, objections or requests for a public hearing or informal conference regarding [his <br />bond release application must be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203 by August 30, 1997. <br />Sincerely, <br />Ronald G.
