Mr. Peter O'Conner <br />Re: Notice of Temporary Cessation of Production <br />Pursuant to our conversation during your inspection visit <br />this morning, this is to formally notify you in accordance <br />with Rule 1.6 of the MLRB "Rules and Regulations", of the <br />temporary cessation of production from the Boettcher Lime- <br />stone Quarry, Permit No. 77-348, the Boettcher Sand:ltone <br />Quarry, Permit No. 77-345, the Slab Canyon Limestone: Quarry, <br />Permit No. 77-347, and the Boettcher Gypsum (Goodwin Gyp- <br />sum) Quarry, Permit No. 77-346. <br />The Boettcher Cement Plant temporarily ceased production <br />on October 1, 1982, until market conditions have imFroved. <br />When the plant resumes production, all quarries will re- <br />sume operations. <br />operations. <br />In the interim, efforts will continue to pldn and imple- <br />ment landfill usage for those portions of the Boettcher <br />quarry which are completed. The old 5.5 acre quarry of <br />the Goodwin Gypsum property is in the process of being <br />graded and seeded, while the new production area will not <br />be opened until product starts.
