For ease of reference our response uses the same number sequence as your letter. Exhibit D - Mine Plan: 7. Your statement concerning water loss is correct. 11. The evaporation pond will have a free board height of three feet and the pond is designed so as to limit precipitation runoff from entering it. The pond is also double lined so any leakage through the top liner will be collected by the lower liner and directed to a receiving pond or tank. Collected water will be pumped back to the pond and the flow rate pumped back to the pond will be monitored. This will serve to monitor pond leakage. If severe leaks develop, the pond 1 i near wi 11 be repaired. Also, the pond wi 11 be 1 ocated such that it does not interfere with the intermittent stream flow. Consequently, we feel that ditches in this area are not needed. 12. The water well should be included in the permit area. A revised Exhibit (B2) which delineates the permit boundary is enclosed. Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs: 1. Table L-1 Reclamation Costs is to be considered confidential. 2. IRI will be submitting a new financial warranty. Please provide the appropriate forms. 3.
