Shuey <br />Dear Mr. Shuey, <br />~R~ce~ii~ <br />MAY 2 4 1995 <br />~urns.~ Ffa!fJ aflice <br />mNfs an of Rflr.;r;:; g GDOlogy <br />May 19, 1995 <br />Re: Weaselskin Gravel Pit <br />Permit #M-86-148 <br />Technical Revision No. 1 <br />In reply to your letter of April 18, 1995, Weaselskin orporation has <br />made various contacts and clarified technical details as ~ollows: <br />1) A topsoil depth of 6" requiring 1,650 cubic y~rds will be <br />supplemented by back hauling 400 cubic yards approximatel 1/2 mile from <br />the hayshed excavation in the NW/45E/4 Sec.20, T-34-N;R- -W. This haul <br />will be handled by Brown Brothers Construction as the approach the <br />Weaselskin Pit with empty trucks. Additional topsoil, 'f needed, will <br />be available by scraping approximately .acres of ~h~ SE~quadrant <br />outside of the irrigation pivot directly west of the pit. <br />2 & 3) Enclosed is a copy of the Southwest Seed Inc. es imate of grass <br />seed types, °s to be used etc. An estimate of $297.25 for Broadcast and <br />5164.25 for Drilled application was obtained. Broadc st apllication <br />will be used for seed and the chopped straw/ manure mix. <br />4) Weaselskin Corporation intends to commit to mining operations that <br />maintain the final approved grade to the slopes. ' <br />5) CURTAIL, applied at manufacturer's recommended concentrations, will <br />be used as noxious weed control. Material costs are $17.00/acre and <br />spray application costs are $5.00/acre. <br />6) If the pond should not hold water, manure/straw an~ clay will be <br />compacted on the bottom and sides. <br />7) The water right of 4.75 acre feet is a daily fiqure. <br />8) The pond discharge will be to the current waste water itch that can <br />handle waste water from 200 acres. Since intake to the pond is manually <br />controlled, if overflow is imminent, then supply can be cut off. <br />9) Amoco Production Company pumper has been notified that ventually the <br />discharge line will cross over their pipeline. Field engineers for both <br />pipeline companies are always alerted by Weaselskin Corpor tion whenever <br />we must do any excavation or pipeline work near their lin s. They have <br />been very cooperative. <br />10 & 11) Thank you for the map photocopies.
