Rule 4.15 REVEGETATION <br />The revegetation plan of the permit is at Tab 22. <br />Rule 4.15.1 General Requirements <br />The PAP is in compliance with this rule. <br />Rule 4.15.2 Use of Species. <br />The PAP is in compliance with this rule. <br />Rule 4.15.7 Determining Revegetation Success: General Requirements and Standards. <br />Procedures aze in compliance with the rules. <br />Rule 4.15.8 Revegetation Success Criteria. <br />The PAP contains a description of revegetation success criteria. See Tab 20. There is no woody <br />plant density requirement (see page 3 Tab 20). <br />Rule 4.15.9 Revegetation Success Criteria: Cropland. <br />Pre-mining cropland areas were used for grazing prior to mining activities. These azeas are <br />reclaimed to improved pasture, dryland pasture, or rangeland. There is an incorrect reference <br />to Tab 18 on page 11 of Tab 20. The reference to Exhibit 18-1 is correct. <br />Rule 4.16 POSTMINING LAND USE <br />The PAP is in compliance with this rule. The postmining land use is primarily grazing land for <br />livestock (see page 1 Tab 20). <br />Rule 4.17 A!R RESOURCE PROTECTION <br />The PAP is in compliance with this rule. A current air emissions report is at Tab 22-1A. <br />Rule 4.18 PROTECTION OF FISH, WILDLIFE, AND RELATED ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES <br />Rule 4.18(1) Any person conducting surface coal mining operations shall, to the extent possible <br />using the best technology currently available, minimize disturbances and adverse impacts of the <br />operations on fish, wildlife, and related environmental values, and, where practicable, achieve <br />enhancement of such resources. <br />Page 33 of 38 pages, November 8, 2005 <br />
