NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has issued a proposed decision <br />to partially approve a technical revision to the mining and reclamation plans <br />for the Deserado Mine, Permit No. C-81-018, operated by Western Fuels-Utah, <br />under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of <br />1979. The proposed technical revision (TR-31) was submitted by Western <br />Fuels-Utah, on January 25, 1993 for the Deseradc Mine. The affected area is <br />located in portions of Sections 1 and 2, Township 2 North, Range 101 West, and <br />Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 101 West, in Rio Blanco County.. <br />The subject technical revision allows for construction of de-gas vent holes <br />over longwall panels 6 and 7, extension of a powerline to sump dewatering hole <br />no. 4, location of a temporary bridge across Red Wash, and construction of <br />sump dewatering hcle nc. h. <br />Copies of the proposed technical revision are available for review at the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology office, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, <br />Rangely, Colorado. Any person who has an interest which is or may be <br />adversely affected may request a formal hearing regarding this proposed <br />decision. Requests for a formal hearing must be made in writing within ten <br />(10) days of this publication and shall state with reasonable specificity the <br />reasons for the request and objections to the proposed decision. <br />3114G <br />
