PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. (I-IGTI), PO Box 882323, Steamboat Springs, <br />Colorado 80488, has filed with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) a <br />permit Technical Revision (TR) application for it's Hayden Gulch Loadout (Loadout), <br />Permit No. C-92-081 under provisions of the Colorado Surface Coa] Mining Reclamation <br />Act of 1979 (Act). The purpose of the TR application is to modify the pond capacity <br />requirements for the existing Rail Loop Pond to reflect existing conditions and to raise the <br />elevation of the existing pond embankment to assure a minimum of one foot of freeboard. <br />No actual mining will be conducted under this permit as this is a coal stockpile and Loadout <br />facility and railroad spur. Site activities will consist of coal stockpiling and shipment, <br />routine monitoring and minor maintenance work to assure regulatory compliance. <br />The Loadout is located approximately 2 miles southeast of Hayden, Colorado, and <br />within 100 feet of Routt County Road 37. The USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle map entitled <br />Mounc Harris contains the permit area described below. <br />The general legal description of the permit area is described as: <br />T6N,RS8W(all west of the 6`h Principle Meridian) <br />Section 10, Portions of El/2 <br />Section 14, Portions of W 1/2 <br />Section 15, Portions of E1/2E1/2 <br />Section 22, Portions of NE1/4 <br />Section 23, Portions of NW1/4NW1/4 <br />Containing 175.3 acres, all in Routt County <br />A copy of the TR application is available for inspection at the Hayden Public <br />Library, 225 East Jefferson Avenue, Hayden, Colorado 81639. <br />Any person having an interest which is or may be adversely affected by a decision of <br />the Division regarding the proposed surface coal mining operation, or the officer or head of <br />any Federal, State, or local government agency or authority shall have the right to submit <br />written objections or comments to the Division within 30 days after the publication of this <br />notice.
