EXHIBIT C -PRE-MINING AND MINING PLAN MAP(S)
OF AFFECTED LANDS
Several changes have occurred in owner of record of the adjacent parcels since the
original permit application. Some of the owners aze the same as shown in the original
permit, however Figure C-3 shows approximate pazcel boundazies of the adjoining
pazcels and a list of the current owners of all adjoining pazcels.
The pre-mining plan is shown on Figure C-l. Pre-mining in this case is defined as the
state of mining at the time of this amendment application. Figure C-1 is a recent aerial
photo of the site showing the mined areas, the process azea and the approximate mining
boundary.
The pre-mining topography for Parcels A and B is included in the original permit
application. A recent survey of the area shows the current topography of Parcels A, B
and C, as shown on Figure C-2. The existing topography for Parcel D is shown by the
Brighton -USGS quadrangle map also on Figure C-2. The topography of Parcel D is
relatively flat with slopes of approximately 1% to 2% from the east to the west as
represented by the USGS topography.
The currently permitted area of affected land for Pazcels A and B is 145.6 acres excluding
a portion of right-of--way along Nome Street. The additional affected land for Pazcels C
• and D is 12.39 acres and 18.25 acres, respectively. The affected areas includes mining
areas and azeas of ancillary operations such as, stockpiles, staging areas, haul roads and
etc. The affected lands aze either owned by Brannan Sand and Gravel Company or
owned by others who have given Brannan Sand and Gravel a legal right to enter and
perform the mining operations.
The type of vegetation in the southern portions, near Fulton Ditch, on Parcels A and B of
permitted mining azea is generally the same as described in the original permit
application. There is little to no vegetation of the remainder of Pazcels A and B due to
the current mining operation. Parcels C is currently used for commercial/industrial
activity and therefore little to no vegetation existing except for a few grasses and weeds.
Parcel-C is currently being farmed as dry-land wheat. Photographs of Pazcels C and D
aze enclosed.
n
U
Brannan Sand & Gravel Mining Application August 2003
X:\Id40000.a11\1445701\WOrdlReponslPennit Amedment-12-11-03.doc
